104 sets of scrubs and over 2,000 scrub bags have been delivered to hospitals by crafters working in Tring, Berkhamsted and beyond.

The South East Crafts for Causes group spoke with us last month and they have shared that update as they carry on working on 600 more scrub sets.

Stoke Mandeville, Luton and Watford hospitals are just some of those benefiting.

The group has over 1.5k members on their Facebook group and a core group of over 150 seamstresses helping to meet the current target of sewing 1,000 scrub sets plus thousands of other non scrub items, such as scrub hats and bags which will all help to keep health care workers safe.

In the update, the group said:

"We have also teamed up with local garment technicians and Stylex factory in Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire who have helped develop our scrub pattern and precut our fabric for free to help ensure we get our donations to where its needed faster.

"We have already donated 103 scrub sets to local hospitals and care homes. We are presently sewing over 620 more scrub sets. These will be distributed to our named care homes and hospitals. in the next few days.

"In order to meet our target of 1000 scrub sets we need to fundraise more money for fabric and trimmings."
