Festival's future looks brighter thanks to fundraising

The future of a popular music festival, which now happens in Buckinghamshire, looks more secure.

Over £27,000 has been collected by Towersey Festival organisers, who were worried one of the longest-running festivals could be lost.

They say this will help fill the hole left by the cancellation of August's event.

In an email, organisers said:

"Thank-you so much for all your support.

"We are overwhelmed by the response to our Crowdfunder Campaign, your pledges and messages of support."

These funds will go towards filling the huge financial hole left by the postponement of the 2020 Festival to 2021.

There is still a way to go to secure the future of the Festival but they say that with the public's help they are confident we will achieve it.

The Crowdfunder will remain open for any donations.
