Today (Monday 18th May) is the third year of the Mental Health Minute and we'll be joining in as Buckinghamshire's radio station.

The message will be broadcast at 10.59am, joining people across the UK together to promote the idea of looking after our mental wellbeing.

Last year, more than 500 radio stations simultaneously broadcast the message.

The #MentalHealthMinute in 2019 was voiced by famous faces including HRH The Duke of Cambridge, actor Stephen Fry, popstar Katy Perry and Britain's Got Talent judge Alesha Dixon amongst others.

The campaign marks the start of Mental Health Awareness Week 2020 in the UK.

It's being led by industry body Radiocentre and supported by The Royal Foundation, produced by content agency Somethin’ Else.

Siobhan Kenny, Chief Executive at Radiocentre, said:

"Radio is coming together to shine a light on the important issue of mental health.

"Radio is unique in being both fantastically intimate and yet part of a shared experience.

"As well as providing company and fun, radio can be an important lifeline for listeners. It is therefore an obvious choice for us all to come together to talk about the things that matter most in our lives."
