Bucks 4 year old raising money for the NHS

On what should have been the London Marathon people around the country took part in the 2.6 challenge. 

Four year old Penelope took part in the challenge by completing a 2.6km bike ride. 

She has set a target of £260, but has raised over £1,000. 


Born at 34 weeks at Stoke Mandeville Hospital, Penelope spent two weeks on their neonatal unit receiving care. 

Since then she has needed countless appointments from physiotherapy to audiology. 

Penelope said:

“I am raising money for all the doctors and nurses that helped me when I was a tiny baby.”

Neil Macdonald, Chief Executive said:

“This is an amazing achievement, for which I hope Penelope feels very proud. We are so grateful that Penelope has chosen to raise money for us and to all her supporters for such generous donations.”
