Care homes

Following yesterdays figures, the number of deaths of care home residents in Buckinghamshire is 124.

These figures are different to ones previously shared, which the ONS say is because of 'improvements in the way we code place of death'.

The number of people who have died at hospices in the area was revealed to be 2.

Local figures

At the beginning of May Mix96 shared a map showing the impact of coronavirus on local areas which shows roughly where the people who have died with COVID-19 are from, but localised figures also reveal how many cases each area has.

This shows that of the 947 positive COVID-19 cases in Buckinghamshire, 382 are from Aylesbury Vale which is the highest figure in the county.

Wycombe has seen the second highest at 233 positive test results.

The number of positive case results in Chiltern is 186 and the South Bucks figure is currently at 146.

Recently a number of mobile testing sites have arrived in Bucks, with the latest two in Aylesbury and High Wycombe.
