Police respond to 'mass gathering' in Aylesbury

A 'mass gathering' of around 100 people was spotted in part on Aylesbury on Friday night.

This morning, police have responded to reports of the incident on Buckingham Park.

We have seen several reports that people gathered on Jubilee Square to be a part of a music video.

Pictures on social media show a large group and police in attendance.

In a statement released this morning, TVP said:

"Thames Valley Police officers were called at about 5.40pm on Friday (22/5) following reports of a large gathering in the Buckingham [Park] area of Aylesbury. 

"A number of officers attended the scene and spoke to those involved. Officers engaged with them and encouraged them to leave the area and to comply with social distancing guidelines. 

"Officers remained on scene throughout and by 8.30pm the group had dispersed. No arrests were made."

Officers had to deal with busy spots in the Vale over the Bank Holiday, including Coombe Hill.
