Coronavirus in Bucks: Aylesbury Vale cases rise

Buckinghamshire has seen a rise in COVID-19 cases to 989. 

Aylesbury Vale & High Wycombe have both seen a rise in cases on yesterday. 

Figures for Aylesbury Vale went up by 11 with the total now 401 while Wycombe also saw an increase of 8 cases taking the total to 243. 

Chiltern & South Bucks however had the lowest increases with just one new confirmed case in both areas taking the total for Chiltern to 199 positive results and South Bucks to 146.

There have been mobile COVID-19 testing sites set up across Buckinghamshire in recent weeks, with another one expected in coming days.

Deaths

There has been 2 further deaths of people who have died in Bucks Healthcasre NHS Trust hospitals with coronavirus taking the total to 113.

Figures released this week by the Office for National Statistics put deaths in hospitals in Buckinghamshire at 188, although this may include non-Trust sites.

This data also showed how many people in each local area had passed away with coronavirus.

The ONS data also includes deaths of care home residents and has put that figure at 135. 

These figures are different to ones previously shared, which the ONS say is because of 'improvements in the way we code place of death'.

The figure of confirmed cases includes those who have recovered from the illness.

Recovery data has not been published in the UK so far.

Numbers are for Buckinghamshire, excluding Milton Keynes.
