Council to vote on Elms site application

The controversial Thame site has seen several applications dismissed in the past.

The latest application put in for the Elms site is for 'an extra care development' of 66 units.

Permission was granted for up to 45 homes back in 2014, and since then there have been several applications made.

Tonight, Thame Town Council will vote in a virtual meeting on the plans and provide a recommendation.

Rectory planning application

The current plan consists of:

  • 66 units
  • 3 guest rooms
  • a communal residents centre (with staff facilities)
  • cycle and mobility scooter parking
  • creation of new public open space
  • provision of new pedestrian/cycle links from Upper High Street to Elms Road and Elms Park
  • associated infrastructure works and landscaping

Over the years there have been campaigns by local people who are against development on the land.
