Coronavirus in Bucks: Deaths rise

The number of people who have died in Bucks hospitals with COVID-19 has risen by 3.

The total number of people who have passed away with COVID-19 at Bucks NHS Trust Hospitals has risen to 120.

Figures released this week by the Office for National Statistics put deaths in Bucks hospitals at 200, although this could include non trust sites. 

The data includes how many people from each local area has passed away with coronavirus, with Aylesbury Vale seeing the most number of deaths registered at 122.

In total, 144 care home residents in Buckinghamshire have passed away with coronavirus.

Figures cover people who have lost their lives up until the week ending May 22nd.

Local figures

This week Mix96 shared research which believes less than 1% of the Aylesbury Vale population, and the three other local areas, are showing COVID-19 symptoms.

This shows that of the 1,014 positive COVID-19 cases in Buckinghamshire, 420 are from Aylesbury Vale which is the highest figure in the county.

Wycombe has seen the second highest at 247 positive test results.

The number of positive case results in Chiltern is 200 and the South Bucks figure is currently at 147.
