Lockdown class timetable created by Aylesbury teacher

An Aylesbury teacher has helped to create an online tool for parents and children.

Schools across Buckinghamshire, and the UK, were closed for most children in March.

Following this celebrities and experts in their own fields began created online resources to help with home schooling.

Which is where TeachEm comes in, which has been created by Steph from Aylesbury and Mark from Norwich.

The platform combines a range of daily lessons available so that parents and those taking charge of home learning are able to take a break and use these resources.

Steph, is a teacher from Aylesbury who along with an ex-colleague Mark, created the site:

"The reason we created the site in the first place was because there is so much out there.

"I got completely overwhelmed and I've been teaching for 14 years. I can't even imagine how that must be for a parent who is completely new to this and is trying to educate their children at home."

Education content can be filtered through age and subject but the duo have been conscious not to overwhelm the TV-guide style platform.

Steph says that there are some clear areas lacking in content though:

"It is really clear to see when I've been putting in the events how many are around Maths and English. However, being able to teach other skills particularly the Arts and the Humanities... There's not much out there but if people do know things then please do get in touch via the website.

"There is again very little out there for the older students, certainly for key stages 3 and 4. There is loads out there for little ones but not so much out there for older ones so again if people know of some really good content please let us know"
