3-year-old's mission to help save zoo she loves

Whipsnade Zoo is facing an uncertain future as it can't re-open following lockdown and one little girl from Aylesbury Vale wants to help.

Erin is just three, but wanted to raise money for 'all the animals at the zoo'.

In the clip, Erin says she loves 'going with my friends and seeing all the animals' at the zoo.

She has so far raised over £1,000 to try and help ZSL Whipsnade Zoo.

Zara said:

"During the coronavirus outbreak, they have been really struggling financially to keep the zoo going, especially as they are now not able to re-open as quickly as initially thought.

"So we set Erin the challenge of walking the distance from our house to the zoo, which is just under 7 miles."

Erin is aiming to walk seven miles in seven days.

The initial target of £150 has been smashed and is well over £1k now.

ZSL, which also runs London Zoo, is asking for support through donations and by writing to our local MPs to get a change in policy.
