Coronavirus in Bucks: Bucks case numbers rise

Buckinghamshire has seen a rise in COVID-19 cases to 1,022.

Aylesbury Vale's case number remains at 424, this is over 40% of the total cases in the county and rise of 4 on Fridays figure.

Wycombe has the second highest amount and has also seen a rise of 2 at 249 cases.

Chiltern follows with 201 positive results and South Bucks have 148 cases currently recorded. Both areas totals stayed the same.

Last week Mix96 shared research which believes less than 1% of the Aylesbury Vale population, and the three other local areas, are currently showing COVID-19 symptoms.

There have been mobile COVID-19 testing sites set up across Buckinghamshire, with more opening this week.

As no further deaths, of people who have died in Bucks Healthcare NHS Trust hospitals with coronavirus, have been reported over the weekend the total remains at 120.

Figures released last week by the Office for National Statistics put deaths in hospitals in Buckinghamshire at 200, although this may include non-Trust sites.

This data also showed the figure of those who died in the community and how many people in each local area had passed away with coronavirus.

Care homes

The weekly ONS data also includes deaths of care home residents and has put that figure at 144.

These numbers, including care home deaths and hospital deaths, differ to those we get each day as the ONS are for local authority level.
