Golf club's warning to customers as it announces closure

A Buckinghamshire golf course is warning about fake emails to customers, after announcing it has to close.

It was good news for golfers when it was announced courses could re-open, so Magnolia Park near Boarstall welcomed players once again.

Only a few weeks ago, they posted on Facebook saying things were 'in full swing'.

But now they say that the site, which includes a hotel and gym,  will shut for good at the end of July.

Customers are reportedly getting fake emails, claiming their events can still happen if they pay upfront.

Magnolia Park say they are doing all they can to stop these messages and are asking people not to make any payments.

Regulars have paid tribute to the staff, saying how sad they are to see the club close.
