Two lorries have crashed on the motorway near High Wycombe.

M40 closed in Bucks after accident

Part of the M40 has been closed in Buckinghamshire this morning (Mon).

Two lorries crashed, according to Bucks Fire & Rescue.

The stretch between Junctions 3 & 4 has been closed northbound.

That's the bit between Loudwater and Handycross.

Also this morning:

The other side of the road has also been partially-shut as well.

We have seen some really heavy delays as a result.

Bucks Fire sent one appliance and crew from Beaconsfield, one from High Wycombe, one from Gerrards Cross, two Urban Search and Rescue vehicles (prime movers with equipment modules) from Aylesbury and three officers.

They say some are likely to remain at the scene for a considerable time.

Firefighters used rescue equipment to release a man who was injured.
