A Buckinghamshire based company is bringing children's imaginations to life.

Janno media is a Buckinghamshire based video production company who are transforming children's short stories into animated videos.

When lockdown slowed businesses down the team decided to launch the challenge to keep children entertained and encourage creativity.

Children up to 12 years old can submit their stories, with the suggested length of half a page, to the company.

They then pick out ones to bring to life, Matthew is the company's managing producer:

"Sometimes the kids submit pictures alongside the stories, which are a big help because we can see from their own minds what they would look like.

"We have as much fun with them as we can and bring them to life, make them move. We have a fantastic voiceover artist Sassy Clyde who narrates all of them and reallybrings them to life."

So far the company have shared 9 animated stories, with different styles of animation used.

Matthew told Mix96 creativity has been given a chance to flourish in lockdown:

"For youngsters in particular, you know they've got a head full of ideas, smart thoughts, nice stories and things like that. Having an outlet with which to see them come to life was something that we thought would be useful.

"Creative writing is such a great pursuit for youngsters. To engage their brains and come up with the story."

The great race, written by Rose Hallett aged 6, who sent the above picture in alongside the story.
