Coronavirus in Bucks: 5 new cases

The have been 5 new cases of COVID-19 reported in Buckinghamshire since yesterday.

Following a rise of 5 on reported cases by Public Health England, Buckinghamshire now has 1,062 cases.

Aylesbury Vale continues to have the most cases in the county at 441, a rise of 2 cases on yesterday.

Chiltern also saw a rise of 2 positive test results and is now at 208 cases. 

South Bucks has reported one further case which bring their total number of cases to 150.

Wycombe's total is 263 cases and is the only area that saw no rise.

The number of deaths reported by NHS England for Bucks Trust Hospitals has also remained the same at 125.

This figure includes those who have died in hospital either with a positive COVID-19 test, or where no test positive result was received but coronavirus was mentioned on the death certificate.

Yesterday, the Office For National Statistics figures showed a rise of 7 deaths on last weeks figure, with the total now 381.

The number of deaths in care homes staying the same as last weeks figure. 

These numbers, particularly hospital deaths, differ to those we get each day, as those are from hospital trust, whilst the ONS are for local authority level.

The figure of confirmed cases includes those who have recovered from the illness.

Numbers are for Buckinghamshire, excluding Milton Keynes.
