Application for houses in Aston Clinton denied

Aston Clinton residents are celebrating after a planning application has been denied.

Last night the Central Buckinghamshire Area Planning Committee met to vote on plans to build seven new homes in the Aston Clinton area.

However, this went against a Neighbourhood plan, voted on by residents, which says only five can be built.

These five needed to be on unused land or an existing development.

Locals were frustrated with the application for seven new homes, as not only did it go against this plan it is on top of almost 600 already being built.

The Parish Council were also critical of the plan and its effect on the area.

Councillors voted on the plans, taking into account the locals viewpoints and decided they could not go ahead.
