UPDATE: Woman dies after Bucks crash

A passenger has died after a crash in Buckinghamshire. 

The woman in her nineties who suffered life threatening injuries has died in hospital. 

After being involved in a head on collision in Monks Risborough the woman was taken to hospital for her injuries. 

She has sadly died, her next of kin have been informed.

What happened?

The woman was involved in a crash in Buckinghamshire.

The woman in her nineties was taken to hospital after suffering life threatening injuries following a crash in Monks Risborough. 

At around 3.50pm on Monday (29/06) there was a head on collision between a blue Citroen C3 and a black BMW X3 on Longdown Hill, Cadsden. 

The woman was a passenger of the Citroen involved in the crash.

The driver of the Citroen received minor injuries which did not require hospital treatment and the driver of the BMW was not injured. 

Investigating officer, PC Kate Bishop, of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit at Bicester Howes Lane, said:

“I am appealing for witnesses to this road traffic collision, during which a woman aged in her nineties sustained life threatening injuries.

“I would like to appeal to any other motorists who were using the road in Longdown Hill in Cadsden at around this time on Monday, who may have seen this collision taking place.

“Shortly after the collision, a man driving dark coloured car stopped at the scene, but was no longer present on police arrival. We believe that this person could be an important witness to this incident and would like him to make contact with police.

“Additionally, I’d also ask that any motorists with dash-cam in their vehicles to please check their footage, in case anything significant was captured on their camera.
