Two men attacked in High Wycombe

A man was hit over the head with a glass bottle during an incident in High Wycombe.

A 36-year-old, from High Wycombe, has been charged in connection with an incident of grievous bodily harm in High Wycombe. 

At 3.35am yesterday (Thursday 16/07) the two victims, both in their twenties, were on Desborough Street with a group of men when they were approached by the offender. 

They became involved in a verbal altercation. 

The first victim was punched in the face but did not require hospital treatment. 

The second victim was hit over the head with a glass bottle and knocked unconscious. He was then kicked several times while on the ground. 

He sustained several deep cuts to his head and required hospital treatment. He has since been discharged. 

Investigating officer Detective Constable Alexander Trevivian, based at High Wycombe police station, said:

“I am appealing to anyone who has information about this offence to come forward.

“We have charged a man in connection with this incident, but I am appealing for any further witnesses to the incident to get in touch.
