Two have been arrested after a group were seen with weapons on Saturday afternoon.

Man stabbed in fight in High Wycombe

A man has been stabbed during a fight in High Wycombe.

It happened on Saturday afternoon, with around ten men spotted with weapons.

At around 3.05pm officers were called to the car park of the Hive Community Centre in Arnison Avenue to reports of a disorder.

One man, aged 20, suffered knife injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.

He has since been discharged.

The group dispersed on foot and in vehicles.

The offenders are all described as Asian men between the ages of 20 and 25-years-old.

Officers subsequently have arrested three men, two aged 20 and one aged 22, all from High Wycombe, on suspicion of affray.

They remain in police custody.

A scene watch at Arnison Avenue remained in place while officers conduct a search of the area.

Senior investigating officer Detective Inspector Nick Hind of Aylesbury CID, said:

“This was a significant incident of disorder and three men have been arrested in connection with this incident.

“I appreciate that incidents such as this will cause concern in the local community, but there is an increased police presence in the area, and I would urge anybody who has any concerns to please speak to one of our officers.

“I am appealing to anybody who believes that they witnessed the incident to contact police on 101, quoting reference number 43200228968.

“You can also make a report online, or call the independent charity Crimestoppers 100% anonymously on 0800 555 111.

“I’m particularly keen to hear from anybody who has dash-cam footage that may have captured the incident to please check this and contact us if it has captured anything that can help this investigation.

“There will also be additional community officers on patrol in the next few days. They are there for your re-assurance and also to prevent further concerns in the area, so again, please speak to them if you have any concerns.”
