Search continues for teen over Aylesbury robbery

Police are still trying to trace a teenager in connection with an Aylesbury robbery.

Adelin Olteanu is aged 18-years-old and is wanted after an 87-year-old was robbed in the town centre in March.

Police say that if you see him, you should not approach him, but instead call 999 straight away.

Olteanu is known to frequent Aylesbury, Manchester, Bradford, Leeds, Sheffield and London.

Why are police looking for Olteanu?

Officers need to speak to Olteanu after an incident in which an 87-year-old man was hit in Aylesbury town centre at around 10pm on Tuesday 17 March 2020.

The man required hospital treatment, but he has since been discharged.

Designated investigator Hannah Mitchell of the Aylesbury Priority Crime Team, said:

“Despite concerted efforts to locate Olteanu, we have as of yet been unable to do so.

“I am appealing to anybody who knows where he is to get in touch with police.

“You can do so by calling 101, quoting reference number 43200090463, or if you wish to remain 100% anonymous, call the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

“You can also make a report online.

“I would also urge the public if they see Olteanu, not to approach him, but to get in touch with police immediately on 999.”
