Woman, children & cats rescued from High Wycombe fire

Two cats had to be rescued from a fire in Buckinghamshire last night (Thurs).

A kitchen fire in High Wycombe also saw a woman and two girls needing help from firefighters.

Bucks Fire & Rescue were called out to Station Road in Loudwater at around 8.40pm.

Firefighters used a main jet, a hose reel and two sets of breathing apparatus and rescued a woman and two girls through a first-floor window.

They were left in the care of South Central Ambulance Service.

Firefighters also rescued two cats and gave them oxygen.

One appliance and crew from Beaconsfield, two from High Wycombe and an officer attended.
