Buckinghamshire Farmers Say There Will Be Enough Christmas Trees This year

There's a shortage of real Christmas trees this year, although we're told it won't affect Buckinghamshire.

tree 3A Christmas tree takes 8 years to grow and in 2002 low prices meant profits dwindled and as a result fewer trees than needed were planted nationwide.

Families wanting a real Christmas tree in places like London are expected to struggle to get one this year because Christmas tree wholesalers are struggling to get their hands on them.

The owners of Chesham's Christmas Tree Farm (pictured) say in the past trees were sold on street corners in London but nowadays they are seeing more families travelling from the capital to buy from them.
