The collision was between a blue VW Polo and a blue Ford Galaxy taxi in Ellesborough Road, between Wendover and Butlers Cross, at 6.11am.

The driver of the Polo, a 64 year-old man from Bedfordshire, died at the scene.

The driver of the Galaxy, a 27 year-old man, has been taken to Stoke Mandeville Hospital for treatment.
