Punk was locked out of Lancaster!

Back on this day (29th Nov) in 1976 - The Sex Pistols were banned from playing at Lancaster Poly.

The local council said "We don't want that sort of filth (The Sex Pistols) in the town limits.'

It was the kind of anti-establishment publicity money couldn't buy for the band who became genre-defining icons.
