Trying to stop the Sex Pistols from firing.

It was on this day (13th July) in 1978 that the BBC announced they were banning the single 'No One Is Innocent'.

That's because it had vocals on the track from Ronnie Biggs.

Briggs was a notorious criminal who took part in the Great Train Robbery in 1963.

He recorded his part in Brazil where he was hiding from police but was immune from extradition.
