Open your eyes and look to the skies to see how this iconic song started.

It was on this day (24th Aug) in 1975 that Queen started recording this future Number One.

It took three weeks to record 'Bohemian Rhapsody' at Rockfield studio's in Monmouth, Wales.

Freddie Mercury, Brian May and Roger Taylor all sang their vocal parts continually for ten to twelve hours a day, resulting in 180 separate overdubs.
