The Sex Pistols went onto huge success with this iconic track despite facing major barriers on this day (27th May) in 1977.

'God Save The Queen' was banned from TV and radio as well as lots of high street shops and pressing plants.

But it still sold 200,000 copies in one week and peaked at Number Two.
