Throw Momma from the plane UK Skydiving Adventures UK Skydiving Adventures

Forget flowers, picture frames and bath salts! This Mother's Day, we gave one mum the ultimate gift... A Tandem Skydive at 13,000*ft!

On Friday 4th of March, Darren & Katy from the Breakfast Show announced that Denise is going to be thrown out of a plane, strapped to qualified tandem instructor from UK Skydiving Adventures.

She was nominated by her daughter Shereen, here's what she said about her mum:

"My Mum is the hub of the family, the shoulder to cry on, the arms to squeeze all the pain away with, the ears to listen and the heart to love. She is there for all. She's selfless, hard working, strong and always has the kettle on! The whole family has suffered many devastating losses over the past 6 years and she is deflating. This experience would give her a bit of her oomph, kerpow and howzat back! She has been married to my awesome Dad for 38 years, they have 4 children and 10 grandchildren who would love to see her chucked out of a plane :-D Chuck her out! Please..."

Denise will now feel the exhilaration of freefall at a speed of around 120mph before the parachute is deployed at 5,000 feet, a chance to catch her breath and enjoy the views as she floats back to the ground! The whole experience will be captured by a highly skilled videographers.

Here's how it unfolded on air:
