We saw Aylesbury change its name this week to honour an England World Cup footballer who's from here.
Ellen White was England's top goal scorer and they reached the semi-finals on Tuesday.
Elsewhere, a road was closed over the weekend for a rape investigation and three taxi drivers were done for blagging.

Investigations continued at the weekend after an attempted rape in Aylesbury late on Friday night.
It happened on Havelock Street at around 11.20pm when the victim a woman in her twenties, was approached by a man and grabbed.
The victim managed to get away and ran off down Havelock Street.
The offender is described as being a black man, of average build and aged in his late twenties or early thirties.
He had black hair, bald at the back and faded on top and was wearing a bright red, possibly striped t-shirt and dark jeans.

Three Aylesbury taxi drivers have pleaded guilty after illegally accepting unbooked journeys.
All three drivers operate private hire vehicles licenced by AVDC:
- Fayaz Ali Ghumro of Cambourne Avenue
- Raja Sajid Kiani of Meadowcroft
- Amir Yasin of St Edmunds Close.
This means it is unlawful for them to pick up passengers up who haven't booked and if they do it invalidates their insurance.
All three have been prosecuted for what's called 'blagging' after council officials acted as members of the public and took journey's that weren't pre-booked as part of an enforcement operation in 2018.

Aylesbury changes its name to honour England’s top scorer Ellen White!
Mix96 have been celebrating the fact that England’s top scorer is from Aylesbury!
On Tuesday (2/7) we changed the name of the town to Ellesbury, to coincide with England’s semi-final game with the USA.
Ellen White had already scored 5 goals during the campaign and could win the Golden Boot – so Mix96 thought she should be celebrated back in her home town of Aylesbury.
As well as changing the signs we’ve also sung our own World Cup song especially for Ellen!
It caused quite a lot of reaction on our Facebook page:
England were defeated by the USA 2-1 in the semi-final, but they have done so much for women's footballe and we couldn't be prouder!

Mix96 reported from a court case trying to save Buckinghamshire's children's centres this week.
On Tuesday and Wednesday (2nd - 3rd July) a judicial review took place at The Royal Courts of Justice.
It's after BCC's decision to close 35 centres and replace them with 16 families ones was criticised by the Save Bucks Children’s Centre campaign.
Then, an anonymous mum took her case to court to try and save the centres.
Mix96 heard both sides of the argument in court.
The campaign say:
- The consultation didn’t give sufficient information for consultees to respond intelligently
- Parents weren’t involved enough in the decision
- The reasoning for closing the centres wasn’t made clear enough
- BCC’s consultation focused on early help services rather than children’s centres
- Assessment on local need for children’s centres in areas where they are proposed to close wasn’t thorough enough.
BCC say:
- The consultation was fair with clear options
- There was sufficient information and the consultation was open-minded and broad
- Following thorough research and comments made in the consultation BCC increased the number of centres to stay open from 14 to 16
- Children’s centres are a part of early help services which is why BCC consulted on both
- There will be fewer buildings but longer opening hours and more services
Mix96 spoke to Alka Dass, Lead Campaigner for Save Bucks Children’s Centres after the court case concluded:
“I think its obviously going to be a very difficult decision for the judge to make but i think she was a brilliant judge.
"Both QC's were fantastic so I think it now just comes down to decision and its just kind of in their hands, I'm not really sure.
"Yesterday i was thinking it was more towards our side and today I was a bit like OK I'm not sure"
We should have a verdict from the judge very soon.
